Stories - TIGER
WITH A GOLDEN BANGLE
Once upon a time there lived an old tiger near a lake.
The tiger had a golden bangle with him. One day he saw a
traveler passing by the lake. The tiger called the
traveler “O’ traveler! Please Stop”. The traveler got
scared of seeing a tiger but stopped seeing the golden
bangle.
Tiger: “Sir, please come here and take this bangle”.
Traveler: “You are a wild animal. How can I believe you?
I won’t come”.
Tiger: “Alas! Sir, Please listen. I am not what I used
to be. I am completely changed. I have killed a lot of
people and animals. I am repenting for the wrongs done
in my life. You look like a good person and hence I
would like to give you this bangle. Kindly accept this
bangle. Please take bath and come”.
The traveler got greedy. He went in to the lake to take
bath and got stuck in the mud.
He realized what happened. He repented for being greedy.
Tiger: “Are you stuck? Don’t worry! I will come and help
you” and pounced on the traveler.
The traveler quickly hit the tiger’s mouth with his
stick. The tiger fell back with the stick in its mouth
and could not bear the pain. He could no longer eat
anyone.
The traveler learned his lesson for being greedy. The
tiger learned his lesson for not being truthful and
deceiving others.
MORAL: Do not be greedy. Be Truthful.
